Role at ICARS
My tenure at the International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) has been pivotal in shaping my expertise in global health solutions. Leading strategic initiatives and research projects, I have been at the forefront of combating antimicrobial resistance. This role has allowed me to collaborate with international experts, contributing to policy development and implementation strategies.

Role at ImpactHub
Dr Sunday Ochai leads ImpactHub for Youth and Children Foundation, delivering integrated humanitarian and development interventions that advance education, health, protection, and livelihoods for children and young people in crisis-affected and resource-limited settings across Nigeria. His work combines evidence-informed programming, community ownership, and policy engagement to strengthen resilience, dignity, and long-term social recovery.

Work with universities
Dr Sunday Ochai serves as an Extraordinary Lecturer at the University of Pretoria and an Honorary Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where he contributes to postgraduate teaching, research supervision, and mentorship in veterinary tropical diseases, One Health, and antimicrobial resistance, with a strong emphasis on applied epidemiology and policy-relevant science.
